God blesses and protects

Daniel wanted to talk to God, so he prayed. What did Daniel do when the king made a law

that he could not pray to God? (He went to a 2nd floor window and prayed three times a day.) God

wants us to talk with Him by praying. Praying helps us get to know God better and to be

closer to Him. Just as nothing could keep Daniel from praying, nothing can keep us from

praying either!

Failing to claim responsibility for our broken lives only brings misery. We may want to excuse our responsibility by saying, "I haven't done any worse than anyone else." We tend to excuse ourselves because everyone else is doing it; we rationalize about our sin. But until we recognize our sin as part of the dilemma, our misery will continue. Sometimes we make apologies sound like justification rather than confession. We may say, "That person brings out the worst in me!" But if the worst wasn't in me, no one could bring it out.

Some of my fondest memories of Mom come from her sliding onto that rickety old round adjustable piano stool and bringing the keys to life like no one else could do! Mom found solace, peace and a place of safety in her soul as she would become the person in the lyrics of the songs she played. Her life was a medley of beautiful music that moved gracefully and with the fitting emotion for every need. She loved all of her Children, Grand Children, Great Grand Children and any member of the Family more than anything else in the world. Although we didn't spend as much time together with her as we wanted too, I know that she plans to make that up when Jesus comes. I also know that she hopes that you do too! I hope these songs that she left will bring comfort, wonderful peace, and even joy as we look forward to that great reunion in the sky. The King is Coming. "Therefore, Comfort each other with these words" 1 Thessalonians 4:17
